This victory makes him the fourth player to join an elite group of athletes who have successfully defended the Sid Waddell trophy, alongside Adrian Lewis and Gary Anderson.
Overcome with emotion, he shed tears on stage after his victory, which was briefly interrupted due to an incident with the Ally Pally Wasp and a blood smear on the board.
With this win, Littler also secured £1 million in prize money.
He celebrated his achievement as a two-time world champion with family and friends, including his girlfriend Faith Millar and influencer buddy Angry Ginge.
Littler expressed, “I’m feeling a bit tired this morning. Not much sleep. I think it will really sink in when I go home tonight.”
“Yeah, I’m quite exhausted. The household was quite busy.
“Everyone was a bit excited.
“My phone was buzzing non-stop. We just relaxed.
“I managed to get around four hours of sleep. We are here in the morning.”
The Xbox-loving teenager remained tight-lipped about how he would spend his winnings when speaking to Sky Sports right after his victory.
However, his first purchase was to order pizzas to celebrate.
