LOVE Island hunk Ope Sowande is targeting a return to Strictly Come Dancing when his time in the villa comes to an end.

The West End actor, who as an ensemble dancer, took a big gamble and ahead of flying out to Majorca.

And the 27-year-old is hopeful the TV show’s high profile could catapult him to bigger and better things.

When asked if he sees himself replicating from villa stars Amber Davies, Dani Dyer, and Tasha Ghouri’s roads to Strictly, he said: “Hell, could you imagine? Oh my God, that would be incredible. You know, that would be so amazing.

“I’m gonna try and focus on the villa and try and find love in there, but yeah, who wouldn’t wanna be on Strictly? That would be the best.”

The modest performer insisted his primary focus is on the villa.

“I’m unsure of how things are gonna go post-villa and stuff and stepping into the limelight,” he said.

“I’m just gonna kind of take the experience as it comes and just kind of take it for what it is and try to have the best time.”

His sole appearance on Strictly was a dream come true and he proudly posted about it on Instagram.

The performance saw him dance to the song Popular from the musical Wicked as part of actress Sarah Hadland’s routine.

He wrote at the time: “Dope time dancing on @bbcstrictly.”

Ope also starred on ‘s in 2024 in a group number alongside Dec, and .

He called to appearance “such a blessing”.

Ahead of his turn in Love Island, Ope said: “I’m never playing anything safe, that’s boring.

“My thing is to go for the goal and make someone laugh straight away. I think that’s the key to love and the key to getting girls.

“My ultimate thing in life is to make people feel comfortable around me, so as soon as that happens, I’m sweet. And I’ve got the best smile in Britain.”
