And for the first time in Love Island history the antics, drama and flirting kicks off after the sun sets.

The 12 new sexy singles are ready to bring the heat as they enter the Villa for the most exclusive welcome party under the stars.

First to enter and dressed to impress are Aidan and Mica, followed swiftly by Lorenzo and Angelista. The four of them waste no time getting to know one another, as they raise their glasses and cheers to a summer of love.

Next up to enter are Robyn and Samraj, followed by Lola and Ope.

If first impressions are anything to go by, Ope makes a blunder.

Rather than falling head over heels for the girls, he gets so excited strutting over to greet his fellow Islanders at the Firepit, he nearly falls head over heels onto the floor as he exclaims: “Mate, that was the worst thing that could possibly happen.”

Ellie and Sam are next to arrive, joined by the final two Islanders Sean and Jasmine.

With all Islanders sitting around at The Sundeck, it’s time for the final, highly anticipated arrival of the night – host Maya Jama.

Making a jaw dropping entrance to a reception of cheers from the Islanders, Maya heads over and says: “The night is still young, so who fancies playing a little party game to kick things off?”

Kicking things off with an ice breaker to help get to know one another better, Maya quizzes the Islanders with a series of questions.

She asks them to take a sip to give their answers on various questions, such as if they’ve already seen a red flag in the Villa, and who they think is most high maintenance.

With drama and revelations aplenty, the night is off to an eventful start.

With the ice breaker game out of the way, Maya then begins coupling up proceedings and this time they’re doing things differently…

With a big twist revealed, Maya quizzes them: “Are you gonna play it safe, or will you step outside of your comfort zone for the right person?”

As ever, the course of true love doesn’t run as smoothly from the get-go as things get interesting when several Islanders are vying for the same person.

Maya urges them: “Just remember you are all here to find the one, so don’t be shy.”

After much deliberation, the first six couples of the series are formed, with some happier about the outcome than others.
