A LORRY has caught fire on a major motorway causing traffic to grind to a halt.
The M25 has been closed off in the anticlockwise direction between J6 and J5 in Kent.
A fire brigade has been called to the scene and is currently tackling the blaze.
Images show three fire engines parked across the lanes by J5, with thick congestion behind.
The fire is understood to be located in the cargo hold of the lorry.
Motorists should expect of 60 minutes or more, with six miles of congestion.
It follows another on the M23 in Surrey in the northbound direction between J9 and J9a this afternoon.
Emergency services were called to tackle a van fire.
Delays of more than 10 minutes and one mile of congestion were reported.
