LIVERPOOL have dropped yet more points in the race for the top four and made some unwanted history in the process.
Liverpool had never failed to beat at least one of the three promoted teams at home in the Premier League era, but draws with Sunderland and Leeds at Anfield gave Burnley hope.

Florian Wirtz gave the home side the lead after whipping the ball home from about 15 yards out. It was great work from Hugo Etikitie down the left hand side in the build-up.
The home side was awarded a penalty on the half hour mark when Florentino Luis collided knees with Cody Gakpo in the box.
Dominik Szoboszlai smashed the ball against the bar to let a glorious chance go begging inside the same week where he came under criticism for a sloppy and by some opinions, disrespectful backheel against Barnsley in the FA Cup.
A fantastic Reds move saw Kerkez get in behind the Burnley backline and looked like he would simply cut the ball back for Curtis Jones to tap in, but Lucas Pires cleared.
Great work from Wirtz saw the German wriggle his way from a few challenges in the box to set up Gakpo, but his effort was cleared off the line as Liverpool continued to dominate in the second half.
Burnley had a huge chance to equalise in the 62nd when Marcsu Edwards had a simple pass across goal for a tap-in, but he gave Ibrahima Konate a chance to intercept the ball and hit goalkeeper Alisson when he shouldn’t have had a say.
But just two minutes later, it was Edwards who drifted inside to make a run down the side of Konate and slammed the ball home across the goalkeeper after a great through ball from Luis.
Ekitikie had a goal ruled out on 77 minutes after he was offside from Virgil Van Dijks knockdown.
Arne Slot’s last shot at getting the win came with a triple substitution a minute later when Andy Robertson, Alexis Mac Allister and Rio Ngumoha entered the fray.
Just a minute later, Mac Allister blasted over a good chance from inside the box.
Liverpool kept pressing in injury time and introduced Federico Chiesa on the stroke of 90 minutes, but failed to create any real clear cut chances.
Liverpool’s dominance in the first half never looked like it was heading anywhere else but a home win, but credit to Scott Parker and his Burnley troops.
