TWO Premier League sides are primed to battle it out for Curtis Jones this summer, according to reports.

The midfielder, 25, is frustrated by a lack of game time under this season.

He has played 44 games in all competitions but only 13 of those were Premier League starts.

And Jones is now ‘strongly considering’ a move away from Merseyside, where he has been on the books since age nine.

According to talkSPORT , and would be two eager customers if Jones decides to call it quits.

Villa are said to have added the England international to their list of summer transfer targets.

And Spurs ‘would be keen’ to try their luck if they manage to beat the drop under .

Those two sides could also face competition from abroad after courted Jones during the January window.

Jones has scored 21 goals in 223 Liverpool games and won two Premier League titles, three domestic cups and a since making his debut in 2019.

He has only ever played for the Reds, with previous boss and current manager Slot opting to keep him in and around the first team.

And his exploits at club level have seen him turn out six times for England, scoring once.

It is possible that a change of manager could convince Jones to give his Liverpool career another chance.

But, despite becoming unpopular with large sections of the fanbase, Slot is believed to retain the backing of the Reds board.

Jones only has one year remaining on his contract, so this summer would be the most logical time for Liverpool to sell, unless they plan to offer him an extension.
