Lisa Riley from I’m A Celeb shared her experience of a 'low moment' in the jungle, where she felt 'vulnerable' and isolated.

The 49-year-old star was cherished in this year's lineup for her cheerful demeanor, but she has now disclosed a challenging time she faced while living in the camp.

In an exclusive interview with Mirror , the actress revealed how her beloved late mother helped her navigate the darkest moment she faced in the jungle, where she felt overwhelmed after returning from a challenging trial.

“I felt alone and vulnerable... the challenges really take a toll on you, and there’s a pressure to perform well and contribute,” she explained.

“We [the team] were achieving significant numbers. No one earned less than six stars.

“I had done exceptionally well and scored a high number.

“But then you return and lose track of the day and time, and all you want is reassurance from home to say, ‘You know what, Lisa, you’re doing incredibly well.’”

Lisa's emotions overwhelmed her when she found herself sitting alone on the bottom step of the Telegraph, still smelling of the fish guts trial, with no clean clothes to change into.

“We had left the camp so hastily that morning that I hadn’t prepared any clean clothes.

“I had nothing; everything I owned was soaked.

“So there I was, sitting there smelling like a fish market and covered in green stuff in the heat.

“I was on that bottom step of the Telegraph all by myself. I just needed a break.”

Lisa reportedly distanced herself to the “farthest away” spot from the main camp to sit by the creek alone and connect with her “angels” after her friend and fellow campmate noticed her distress.

“Ruby said, ‘the baby has lost her smile,’ and for Ruby to notice that… I had no smile left. I was thinking, ‘This is really tough.’

“I sat there [by the creek] alone and had a little chat with my mum,” Lisa shared.

“I spoke to all my angels up there – I’m truly blessed – but especially her.

“I asked, ‘Mum, I need some strength. I need to get through this.

“I’m struggling, and I’m finding everything really challenging.”

Lisa’s mother, Cath, passed away from cancer in 2012 at the age of 57, which deeply affected Lisa.

She recently experienced a surprise double eviction, alongside another contestant.

He has been mourning a personal loss, which has impacted many participants on the show.
