ARGENTINA were welcomed to the United States by severe thunder storms in Kansas City.
The reigning world champions have based themselves in Missouri ahead of their tournament opener against at Arrowhead Stadium.

and Co arrived in Kansas City on Sunday, having flown 5,500 miles from Buenos Aires.
On their first night in the Midwestern city, local authorities issued a tornado warning.
Dramatic footage posted the following morning showed a metal fence draped in branding having toppled over.
The post was captioned: “The Argentina national team’s facilities collapse after a tornado last night in Kansas City!!!”
Local KMBC reporter Eric Graves added: “There’s a good chance Lionel Messi and the Argentina team woke up to a very loud tornado siren around 1:45 am.
“The storm snapped tree branches and tore privacy screening off the fences around the team hotel. Good news, the giant Messi poster on the hotel is okay.”
Argentina are scheduled to play two warm-up friendlies away from Kansas City.
Lionel Scaloni’s side will travel to Texas to face this Saturday, before a trip to Alabama during which they’ll take on .

They will remain based in Kansas City in between, with their match against Algeria on June 16 set to kick off at Arrowhead Stadium, home of ‘ .
Argentina spent yesterday at the Compass Minerals National Performance Center, HQ of side Sporting Kansas City.
After their match against Algeria, Argentina will take on Austria and in Arlington, Texas.
, Algeria and the Netherlands are also set to be based in Kansas City.
In addition to Argentina vs Algeria, Arrowhead Stadium will host vs , vs Netherlands and Algeria vs Austria.
A round of 32 clash will also be staged at Arrowhead, before Kansas City’s World Cup involvement concludes with a quarter-final on July 11.
