Lee Moo Saeng, Soo Ae, Kim Ji Yeon In Talks + Lee Sung Min, Shin Seung Ho Reported to Join “Inside Men” Drama Adaptation

The highly anticipated drama adaptation of “Inside Men”;; is drawing attention with its growing star-studded lineup!

On May 13, it was reported that Lee Moo Saeng is in talks to play Oh Hyun Soo, a character originally portrayed by Kim Hong Pa in the film. His agency Alien Company responded, “He is currently positively reviewing the offer.”;;

Soo Ae and Kim Ji Yeon (WJSN‘s Bona) are also reportedly set to lead as the two main female characters. Soo Ae has reportedly been offered the role of a high-ranking newspaper executive, while Kim Ji Yeon is said to have been cast as Woo Jin Sook, a female detective. Soo Ae’s agency stated, “It’s true that Soo Ae has received the offer. She is currently positively reviewing it.”;; Kim Ji Yeon’s agency KINGKONG by STARSHIP echoed the sentiment, stating that she is also positively considering the role.

Meanwhile, veteran actor Lee Sung Min is reportedly cast as Jang Pil Woo, a role originally played by Lee Geung Young in the movie. Shin Seung Ho has also reportedly joined the cast, although both actors’ agencies have yet to issue an official response.

The drama was officially last September as a remake of the 2015 film “Inside Men,”;; Korea’s highest-grossing R-rated movie of all time. Song Kang Ho was previously to lead as Lee Kang Hee, a character originally played by Baek Yoon Shik. Koo Kyo Hwanis to star as Ahn Sang Goo, a role originally played by Lee Byung Hun in the original film.

The series aims to expand the universe of the original film, delving into stories and events from the 1980s and 1990s. It will be helmed by director Mo Wan Il, who directed “The World of the Married,”;;“Misty,”;; as well as the Netflix series “The Frog.”;; The script will be written by Lee Ki Chul, known for “Escape from Mogadishu,”;; “Assassination,”;; and “The Thieves.”;;

Filming for the drama is set to begin this year. Stay tuned!
