SBS’s “The Haunted Palace”; has previewed Lee Kyu Han’s pivotal role ahead of his special appearance in tonight’s episode!
“The Haunted Palace”; is a fantasy historical rom-com that delves into the tale of the Eight Feet Tall spirit that bears a grudge against the royal family, a female shaman who opposes it, and an evil spirit known as Imugi. BTOB’s Yook Sungjae stars as Yoon Gap, a royal archivist and Yeo Ri’s first love who becomes possessed by an Imugi named Gangcheori. WJSN’sKim Ji Yeonstars as Yeo Ri, the granddaughter of a powerful shaman who rejects her spiritual powers and destined path.
Lee Kyu Han will appear as Great King Yeon Jong, the ancestor of reigning monarch King Lee Jeong (Kim Ji Hun), and the key figure behind the grudge that led the Eight Feet Tall spirit to seek vengeance against the royal family.
In newly released stills, Great King Yeon Jong is seen leading a procession with a solemn, commanding presence. His cold, unreadable expression and piercing gaze exude a chilling intensity, hinting at the darkness surrounding his legacy. Lee Kyu Han’s performance heightens curiosity about King Yeon Jong’s past and how he became the root of the Eight Feet Tall spirit’s wrath.
