JTBC’s upcoming drama “The Nice Guy”; has released romantic new stills of its two leads!
“The Nice Guy”; is a noir drama that follows Park Seok Chul (Lee Dong Wook), the eldest grandson of a third-generation gangster family with an unexpectedly pure heart, and his first love Kang Mi Young (Lee Sung Kyung), a woman who dreams of becoming a singer.
Lee Dong Wook plays Park Seok Chul, a man who once dreamed of becoming a novelist like Ernest Hemingway but reluctantly turned to the gangster life to make a living. Having endured life with quiet determination, just when hedecides to turn his life around, he fatefully reunites with his first love Kang Mi Young, throwing him into another whirlwind.
Lee Sung Kyung portrays Kang Mi Young, a woman who holds onto her dreams of becoming a singer despite life’s harsh realities and her crippling stage fright. Her reunion with Park Seok Chul becomes a turning point in her life.
The newly released photos capture their tender moments together. Seok Chul becomes Mi Young’s biggest supporter, cheering on her dream of singing despite her fear of performing in front of others. His gentle gaze as he comforts her, and their sweet wave goodbyeâas if even a brief parting is difficultâheighten curiosity about their poignant romance.
Lee Dong Wook praised his co-star, saying, “Lee Sung Kyung is thoughtful and full of ideas. No matter what direction I suggested, she understood immediately and often offered great alternatives, which were very helpful. “The Nice Guy”; is set to premiere on July 18 at 8:50 p.m. KST and will air two consecutive episodes every Friday.
