The sea lion can be seen moving around in his new temporary abode among the pillows and blankets trying to find a comfortable spot to take a quick kip.
The fishermen said they had not realised the sea lion was in the bed until they heard him snoring.
Laughing crew members took pictures in the doorway while the sea lion was unfazed by the commotion on August 2.
One social media user commented saying the crew had gained a new “team member.”
It is understood that sea lions often stay around Argentinian ports, becoming a familiar sight around these harbours.
They hop on boats as a safe haven to escape from orcas and sharks that roam the surrounding waters.
They know that these marine predators avoid human vessels.
Over time, they were quick to learn that these ships are associated with free food.
Experts have reminded people to remain a safe distance to avoid disturbing these wild animals.
