Barcelona manager, Hansi Flick dropped Marcus Rashford from his first team selection over disciplinary issues.

The England international was not part of Flick’s starting XI for Barcelona’s win over Getafe.

The reason was that Rashford, who is on loan at Barcelona from Manchester United loanee, was two minutes late for a training session.

This was after the England international scored his first goals for the Catalans in the Champions League away to Newcastle United on Thursday.

The Manchester United loanee was expected to keep his place in Barça’s starting lineup in their home game against Getafe with Lamine Yamal still sidelined with injury.

However, Flick opted to use Ferran Torres and the Spaniard netted twice in the first half.

Rashford, however, was briught on at half-time for Raphinha and he set up Dani Olmo for the third goal to make 3-0 for the Catalans.

The Times reports that the England player was benched after turning up late to a pre-match training session.

The Times reports that the Manchester United academy product was only two minutes late.
