The 2023 governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Olajide Adediran, popularly known as Jandor, has stated that Seyi Tinubu, the son of President Bola Tinubu, is eligible to contest for the governorship in 2027.

However, Jandor remarked that Seyi lacks the experience compared to him, as he has never participated in an election.

This statement was made during his appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Thursday, when he was asked about his chances against candidates such as Seyi, former Governor Akinwunmi Ambode, Tokunbo Abiru, and others.

He stated, “Well, all the names you have mentioned, as I mentioned earlier, are qualified to be the governor of Lagos, including Seyi himself, all of them.”

“And we shouldn’t diminish anyone’s capability. However, among all those you mentioned, apart from the former governor, none of them has actually been on the ballot as governorship candidates, except for me.”

“Thus, I bring that experience to the table. I come with the knowledge of someone who has navigated that process independently.”
