Kim Min Kyu is about to shake things up at school in “BITCH X RICH 2”;!
Season 1 of “BITCH X RICH”; followed Kim Hye In ( Lee Eun Saem ), the sole witness to a high school girl’s murder, as she transferred to the elite Cheongdam International High School. There, she met Baek Jena ( Kim Ye Rim [ Red Velvet ’s Yeri]), the queen of Diamond 6-the school’s most powerful clique-and the prime suspect in the case.
In Season 2, Kim Min Kyu will join the cast as new character Cha Jin Wook, a mysterious transfer student who has transferred to Cheongdam International High School from a foreign international school. The illegitimate child of a rising chaebol CEO, Jin Wook proposes to Jena that they enter a contract relationship for his own purposes.
After getting engaged to Jena, Jin Wook joins Diamond 6 and skyrockets to the top of the school’s power structure. While hiding his true intentions, the cold and calculating Jin Wook stealthily plots out every situation unfolding at Cheongdam International High School-raising questions about his identity and motives.
Additionally, while his relationship with his fiancée Jena initially starts out as one of dislike, subtle emotional changes in their dynamic over the course of their story will lead to a deeper and more complex connection between the contract couple.
The “BITCH X RICH 2”; production team praised Kim Min Kyu’s performance by saying, “Kim Min Kyu boasts 100 percent synchronization with the character of Cha Jin Wook. He portrayed in fine detail a complicated character who is cold and calculating on the outside, but is hiding his true feelings. On set, he was always fully in character at every moment.”;
They went on to tease, “In this season, Cha Jin Wook is a new arrival who shakes up the story and becomes a central figure. Please keep an eye on what kinds of emotional changes Jin Wook will experience in his relationship with Jena, as well as what kinds of waves he will make in the power structure of the school.”;
“BITCH X RICH 2”; premieres in the first week of July and will be available on Viki.
