We’re sure that many parents will be pleased to hear that rather than having to break the bank on yet another pair of school shoes , Sainsbury’s has announced a mega sale with epic discounts on footwear.

Not only have selected styles been discounted by 20%, but prices start from as little as £3.20 – yes, you heard that correctly.

And parents are going particularly wild for a bargain pair of Plimsolls, which are an absolute bargain.

While the supermarket shoes were once £4, they are now scanning at just £3.20.

The Mary-Jane School Shoes are available from an Infant 8 to a Size 4 and are made with a cotton upper for a flexible feel.

Designed in a Mary-Jane style, the shoes have a strap which has touch and close fastening for a secure fit.

Not only this, but these “good value” and “easy to clean” shoes are also finished with a cute heart embroidered design which youngsters are bound to love.

And if that wasn’t enough, parents are sure to breathe a sigh of relief to know that the bargain shoes, which are said to be “really comfortable,” are also made with micro fresh technology to keep them smelling fresher for longer.

The Mary-Jane School Shoes can be found in stores whilst stocks last and can also be ordered online too.

But sizes are selling out fast, so you’ll need to move quickly if you want to stock up.

Not only have the shoes racked up numerous five star ratings online, but they’ve even been recommended by 88% of reviewers.

Mums have been raving about the discounted shoes , with many praising the “pretty” detail and impressive comfort.

One person said: “I bought these shoes for my daughter starting back at school. Absolutely delighted with the quality, true to size and pretty to look at.

Should parents get back to school boxes for their kids?

I'VE seen them all over my FYP.

But I can assure you that I will NOT be getting my 10-year-old son and six-year-old daughter back to school boxes.

Not only have us parents had to get through six weeks of holidays – with many of us working as well – we’ve had to shell out for days out, a never-ending amount of food and things to keep them entertained.

Then we have to pay for a whole new set of uniform, new shoes – which can cost upwards of £50 a pop – and even stationery.

So why on earth do they need a back to school bag?

I also treat my kids to a new lunchbox and school backpack each year, so that’s their present for going back to school – and that’s plenty.

But I won’t say no to a back to school box for the parents!

After all, we’ve done an amazing job.
