The Senior Pastor of The Second Coming of Christ Ministry, Adewale Giwa, has offered advice to President Bola Tinubu on how to tackle the escalating insecurity issues in Nigeria.
Pastor Giwa suggested that to prevent potential military intervention by the United States, President Tinubu should invite and equip Yoruba freedom fighter, Sunday Igboho, along with Aare Onakakanfo, Gani Adams, with advanced weaponry to confront the terrorists.
He shared his views with DAILY POST in response to the kidnapping of over 200 students from St. Mary’s Catholic School in Papiri, Niger State, which occurred on Friday.
This incident marks the second kidnapping case reported this week.
The Christian Association of Nigeria confirmed that 215 students and 12 staff members were abducted during the early morning raid.
Additionally, gunmen attacked a church in Kwara State, where they kidnapped 38 individuals and killed two others during a service that was being streamed online.
However, Pastor Giwa stated, “If Tinubu wishes to avoid US military action, there are alternative methods to address the issue of Christian genocide.
“If he genuinely wants to eradicate terrorism in Nigeria, he should reach out to individuals like Sunday Igboho and Aare Onakakanfo, Gani Adams, and provide them with the necessary resources. Equip them with advanced weaponry to confront these terrorists.
“This approach would demonstrate that he is not in favor of a US invasion of Nigeria with their military might, rather than the ongoing crises we face daily.
“I read that these terrorists traveled to Niger State to abduct students. This situation is unacceptable. If he truly wants to put an end to terrorism, he should summon figures like Igboho and Adams and arm them with sophisticated weaponry to enter the forests and confront these terrorists.”
