Bad blood has been brewing between the pair for the best part of two years thanks to some outrageous trash talk from Strickland.
The pair are a million miles away from where they used to be when they repeatedly trained together at Xtreme Couture in Las Vegas.
Their sparring has been a major topic ahead of their Jersey joust, with downplaying how it went and accusing Chimaev of bullying smaller fighters he trained with.
, 32, responded to the claim this week by dropping a short clip of him going at it with the American on social media.

There wasn’t much action in the clip, with the Chechen throwing out numerous looks as he sought to get a read on the former champion.
And fans weren’t impressed by what they saw, with one saying: “Bro, you hardly landed one punch.”
Another said: “Ah, yep. Absolute ‘domination.’ You did absolutely nothing, kid. You’re DEAD Saturday.”
And another said: “If that is your striking game, then you are cooked.”
One remarked: “This was almost as painfully boring as your actual fights.”
Another chimed in: “Zero significant strikes. Yeah, we definitely getting a crotch sniffing contest on Saturday.”
Chimaev claimed the middleweight strap last August with a lopsided points win over at 316 in Chicago, which fans BOOED.
Strickland, meanwhile, got himself back into title contention in February with a sensational third-round TKO victory over the previously surging Anthony Hernandez.
