Kerry Katona Reveals She Was Pregnant During Celebs Go Dating Finale, Facing Heartbreaking Miscarriages Afterwards

KERRY Katona has revealed that she was pregnant while filming the finale of Celebs Go Dating after years of thinking she could no longer have a baby.

The former popstar, 45, spoke to the We Need to Talk podcast about suffering from a miscarriage after appearing on the show last year, before getting pregnant again and losing another baby in December last year.

appeared on the We Need to Talk podcast alongside her boyfriend and fitness influencer, , whom she has been dating since April 2025.

The couple, who have an 11-year , opened up about the future of theiras friends and family have started asking when Paolo is going to pop the question.

“I’d marry Paolo in a heartbeat, but it does scare me,” Kerry says .

Paolo says he is going to propose when it feels right, but Kerry joked she “isn’t waiting that long” as she “doesn’t want to walk down the aisle with a Zimmer frame”.

Paolo, who has two young children from a former relationship, said he would “have a child with Kerry tomorrow”.

However, the personal trainer insists it is “circumstantial to the fact that Kerry would be fit and healthy”.

Paolo expressed his concern about them having a baby after Kerry’s “traumatic” birth with her fifth child, daughter Dylan-Jorge, known as DJ.

“She stopped breathing when she was born,” Kerry tells Paul in the new podcast.

“I nearly died, she nearly died, it was horrendous,” she adds.

Paolo says: “It would be very selfish for me to want that with Kerry when she’s got five beautiful, amazing children, who love and need Kerry to be fit and healthy.

“The idea is amazing, but the practicality has to be looked into.”

He then revealed that Kerry was “unknowingly pregnant” at the finale of Celebs Go Dating – which is where the couple met.

“Found out in the morning,” Kerry says.

“I could smell it on her,” Paolo adds.

Kerry explains: “On the finale, I was pregnant, and I found out that morning. I kept getting these hormonal spots, and I did a test at night, it said no, so I thought I’d do one early in the morning.

“We were in the apartment of the hotel, I got up early, so I thought I’ll go do my meditation so I won’t wake him up.

“And I peed on the stick…and nothing came up, so I went and did my meditation, and I went back [to look at the stick], and I went ‘no way’.”

Kerry thought she could no longer conceive after seven years of not falling pregnant.

“I thought, I’m alright, I’m at that age,” she says.

The couple “were panicking that everyone at the finale would know Kerry was ” – and noted they had to be careful about discussing it as they were wearing microphones.”

“Unfortunately, I miscarried,” Kerry adds.

“And we tried, and we tried, eventually we told the kids – not Paolo’s youngest ones obviously.”

“They were a bit nervous, but they eventually came around to it as well,” she says.

Sadly, Kerry miscarried for the second time at four weeks. “I didn’t realise how much I wanted it then,” Kerry tells Paul.

“And that was just before Christmas,” she adds.

Kerry says they have both had tests done to see their fertility options, and now she says, “if it happens, it happens. If it’s meant to be, it will be.”

The couple, who moved in together after two months, say their families have blended well together.

Paolo has two daughters, while Kerry has five children – Molly, 23, Lilly-Sue, 22, who she shares with Brian McFadden, Heidi, 18, and Max, 17, with ex Mark Croft, and Dylan-Jorge, 10, with her late ex-husband George Kay.

Writing in her OK! Magazine column in November 2025, Kerry said: “I love spending time with his girls, it’s such a nice feeling to have little ones around again.

“We’ve blended our families together seamlessly, and everything fits into place perfectly.”

In April 2025, Paolo and Kerry first crossed paths while filming Celebs Go Dating.

Despite an age gap of over a decade, the chemistry between Kerry and Paolo was instant.

They went public with their romance in June 2025 and by September the .

Speaking on Best’s Suddenly Single podcast, she said: “The guy I’m with now [Paolo], there’s 11 years between us. It’s a big age gap, and it’s not something I’ve deliberately gone for.

“If someone matches that energy and you have that connection, where every atom in your body goes on fire… I’ve never had that. It’s like being sucker punched in the stomach.

“I’ve got it now! I hope it works, but even if it doesn’t, I’ll never forget this feeling.”

Kerry adds: “You see me falling in love [on Celebs Go Dating].

“I don’t think I’ll have a feeling like this ever again.”
