Kebbi State Governor, Nasir Idris, has mourned the death of the Emir of Gusau, Dr Ibrahim Bello, describing his passing as a major loss to Zamfara State and northern Nigeria.
In a condolence message to Zamfara State Governor, Dauda Lawal, Idris described the late monarch as a leader known for wisdom and a peaceful disposition, whose guidance helped stabilise his emirate.

The message was contained in a statement issued on Saturday by Abdullahi Idris, Special Adviser to the Governor on Communication and Strategy.

Idris noted that the traditional ruler’s death came at a time when his leadership was still needed to strengthen unity and maintain relative peace in Zamfara.

He also recalled the monarch’s contributions to the health sector during the era of the old Sokoto State, saying his legacy in public service would be long remembered.

The Kebbi governor extended condolences to the Gusau Emirate Council and the bereaved family, praying for Allah’s mercy and for the monarch to be granted Aljannatul Firdaus.
