Armed bandits have carried out yet another assault on farmers in the Gandun Wasagu community, located in Wasagu Ward, within the Danko-Wasagu Local Government Area of Kebbi State, abducting several residents on Saturday afternoon.

This information was shared in a post by security analyst Bakastine on his X handle, where he expressed renewed concerns regarding the worsening security situation in the region.

DAILY POST has learned that this attack took place just days after a similar incident in the same community, which resulted in the kidnapping of 25 schoolgirls and the tragic death of the school's vice principal.

The recent wave of violence has ignited outrage on social media, with residents questioning the increasing level of violence despite the security forces present in the state.

According to Bakastine, “This afternoon, armed bandits launched another attack on farmers in the Gandun Wasagu community, Wasagu Ward, Danko-Wasagu LGA of Kebbi State, abducting several farmers. This incident follows closely behind a previous raid in the community where more than 40 individuals were taken.”

Tension and fear are escalating throughout the community, as residents continue to call for urgent government intervention, enhanced protection, and immediate humanitarian assistance.
