The Gunners have conceded 14 Prem goals this season, seven less than nearest challengers Man City, and have only shipped two during their perfect European campaign.
Timber has been no small part of that, playing in every position across the back four at some point this season.
And the versatile Dutchman reckons everybody mucking in and making sure they communicate with one another is the reason are so hard to break down.
He told Men in Blazers : “I think it’s cooperation, and it’s not just the back line, I think it’s everyone.
“It’s something that this club and this manager have been working on for a long time already.
“I’m just lucky to be part of this group. The players I play with, and the defenders, I can learn from every day. I think we can make each other better.”
Timber and his teammates are desperate to keep this sensational defensive form going, setting themselves sky high standards no matter the opposition.
He added: “The standards are really high and that’s expected every single game.

“We just try and make each other better. We keep each other sharp and on our toes.
“Of course, everyone has started talking about it [our defence], but we have to show it every time again.”
Arsenal’s squad may have a slight advantage over other sides when it comes to their communication, too.
Timber revealed that building on-field relationships has become easier thanks to the large number of Christians in the Arsenal team, including the likes of , and .
The 24-year-old, who has been nicknamed ‘Pastor Timber’, said: “I think a lot of times on the field, it just expresses how we feel off the field.
“So if you feel good off the field, you’re probably on the field, you’re going to feel better. Obviously this connection between each other, it helps a lot.
“It creates good relationships and bonds with each other. But also I think because we believe the same, and we basically live the same life as well, the conversations you have are on a different level or deeper.”
The next challenge for Timber and Co will be a Manchester United side fresh off a surprise derby victory over Man City.
No team has taken more shots than Man Utd this season (266), so the Gunners defence will have a tough task on their hands if they want to keep their 12th clean sheet of the season.
