EMMANUEL Macron has announced the French Navy has seized a suspected Russian shadow tanker.

The vessel is suspected of flying a false flag in order to flout international sanctions and raise money for Mad Vlad’s illegal war.

Macron revealed that the operation was carried out in the Mediterranean “with the support of several allies”.

Working with intelligence provided by the United Kingdom, French maritime authorities intercepted the Grinch after it was spotted sailing from the Comoros Islands, which are off the east coast of Africa.

The French Navy is escorting the ship to port for more checks.

“We are determined to uphold international law and to ensure the effective enforcement of sanctions,” French President Emmanuel Macron said in a post about the interception, with a photo showing a French helicopter hovering over a ship.

“The activities of the shadow fleet contribute to financing the war of aggression against Ukraine,” Macron added.
