JUDD TRUMP has changed his cue after seven years for the English Open.
The world No1, 36, remained a dominant force during the 2024-25 season, picking up the Shanghai Masters, Saudi Arabia Masters and UK Championship titles.

Despite his prolonged period of success, rocked up sporting a new cue.
Following his 4-0 first round victory over Michael Holt, the Bristol-born star was asked by TNT Sports about his decision.
Trump explained: “Just fancied a change.
“I needed some more power. I’ve had this cue for a couple of weeks, so I’ll try it and see what happens.
“I’m not one to mess around with cues, as soon as I get a good one I stick with it for as long as possible.
“But some of the conditions over the last few years, it’s getting harder and harder to screw the ball back and get a lot of power.
“I think a cue kind of loses a bit of bite after a couple of years, you need a refresh every now and then.”
Trump’s new cue appeared to do the business on Tuesday as he whitewashed Holt.
But the former world champion isn’t getting carried away, adding: “I don’t think it’s perfect.
“It’s a lot different to my old cue, so I need to get used to it. But no excuses, I’ve practised enough.”
So far this season, Trump lost in the quarter-finals in Shanghai to , round five in Saudi Arabia to Oliver Lines and the last 16 in Wuhan to Jack Lisowski.
The world No1 will be back in action later today, as he takes on China’s Yuan Sijun in Brentwood.
