IT’s been two decades since she first crashed onto the music scene with her debut single Fell In Love With A Boy,

The pair hit the studio to record a special duet version of the track which appeared on Conner’s second album Ten Thousand Days and the Church of Restoration.
Conner said: “Slow Lightning is the most soulful song on my album and there really isn’t anybody else who would pull it off like Joss.
“It’s in her . The tone, the way of delivery – she always had it from such an early age.”
Speaking frankly about how the industry has changed over her years in the spotlight, Joss told Bizarre: “All I know is that I need to book some gigs and sing into that microphone as the rest I don’t understand.
“If an artist isn’t getting signed by a label, so what? They can go out there and make their own career.
“As long as they have great work ethic and the will and the energy and the time to make all that content, then they can without asking a label to believe in them. And I think that is a big freedom.”
Pausing, Joss added: “But I don’t know how the hell they are doing it.
“It’s all computer based and as you can tell – have been knocked off this call three times – it is not my thing, but I am glad it is happening for people that do get it as then they can be free and be heard.
Artists just want to be free and heard. How do they make ? I do not know.
“I never make money out of anything apart from taking my arse on to the stage. I think streams and and all these angry protests about how much people get paid for streaming and how it’s not fair… well it’s a bit of a wasted energy because it’s happening anyway.
If you look at it from a beautiful perspective you can say, well £15 would get me one CD now that gets me two months of streaming.”
A deluxe edition of Conner’s album is slated for release on April 17.
And the singer promises fans won’t have long to wait until a follow-up record.
Conner said of a possible new record: “I certainly hope I won’t have to wait another twenty odd years to put another one out.
“I’ve actually got enough songs to do another album to be honest, but we are going to have to wait a little bit. That is why we are doing a deluxe version.
“I write all the time. If I don’t write songs I get a little depressed – things just don’t work. I have to do it.”
