JOHN GOSDEN states that his three leading contenders are all set for British Champions Day at Ascot next weekend.
Moreover, it's worth noting that he still has a chance of securing a seventh trainer’s title if he can finish the season strongly.

His impressive lineup will be led by Ombudsman in the Champion Stakes, with the Juddmonte International winner currently the 15-8 favorite for next Saturday’s marquee event.
While there were a couple of international races, including the Breeders’ Cup and an event in Japan, considered as possible targets for the four-year-old, the favorable weather and likely decent ground mean he will head to Ascot first.
Field Of Gold, who has been sidelined since suffering an injury in the Sussex Stakes at Goodwood, is also approaching his long-awaited return in the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes, while Gold Cup champion Trawlerman is aiming for the Long Distance Cup.
Gosden shared with Sun Racing: “They’re all preparing well for their races, and I’m very pleased with them. We just need to hope for some good ground next week for the first time in quite a while.”
“It would be great to be running on the actual Flat track; it feels like we haven’t had good ground there in ages.”
“They are in the final stages of their preparations now, so let’s hope they’ll all be ready.”
Each of the three has an excellent chance on paper — the treble is priced at only 15-1 — and if a couple of them succeed, Gosden will be in contention for the title.
He currently trails championship leader Aidan O’Brien by over a million pounds, but there is significant prize money at stake in Ascot’s five Group 1 races next weekend.
If Ombudsman wins the Champion Stakes, he will earn nearly £750,000 by himself.
Gosden added: “It seems unlikely, as Aidan will be very difficult to beat. We’ve been fortunate in the championship over the years; we’ll proceed and see how we perform next week.”
