Hon. Teslim Babatunde Jimoh has emerged as the winner of All Progressives Congress, APC, primary election in Ibadan North West State Constituency, Oyo State House of Assembly.

Jimoh emerged during the election held on Wednesday.

DAILY POST reports that the primary election was held in all the 11 electoral wards that make of the State constituency.

At the end of the election, Jimoh polled 1, 218 votes to defeat Hon. Adams Adebayo Yusuf, who scored 859 votes.

The exercise was monitored by officials of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and security agents.

The result of the election has been submitted to the INEC office.

A chieftain of the party in Ibadan North West local government area, Chief Adekunle Abass Akande, described the outcome as a true reflection of the will of party members.

Akande, who spoke with DAILY POST on Thursday, commended the peaceful conduct of the exercise.

He then used the opportunity to call on all aspirants and supporters to unite behind the winner in the interest of the party’s progress.
