Jess Glynne blasts White House for using her viral Jet2 meme song over clip of Trump’s ICE deportations

POPSTAR Jess Glynne has hit out at the White House for using her iconic Jet2 meme song over an ICE deportation video.

The Hold My Hand singer, 35, said she felt sick after watching the clip which shows being handcuffed and marched onto a plane.

Glynne says the video is promoting “hate and division”.

The White House official X account has started to jump onto viral trends and memes since Donald Trump returned to the White House in January.

They often integrate them into posts which talk about policies or beliefs held by the government such as the latest Jet2 video.

On Tuesday, they released a 20-second clip showing several people in handcuffs being ushered onto flights by Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers.

Those in the video were being deported out of America as part of Trump’s major crackdown on “illegal aliens”.

Glynne’s chart-topping smash hit was played over the top of the clips with the now legendary voiceover from the playing.

Jet2 have used the jingle paired with the catchy audio for years as part of their .

In recent weeks however it has gained traction on TikTok and Instagram as a viral trend due to the tagline “nothing beats a Jet2 holiday”.

It sees people post a funny clip online which often features an embarrassing blunder as the sound plays in the background.

The trend has quickly racked up millions of views and has become the unexpected meme of the summer.

Jumping on the virality, the White House’s X post was captioned: “When ICE books you a one-way Jet2 holiday to deportation. Nothing beats it!”

The video ended with a smirking Trump giving a thumbs up to the camera.

The video has already amassed 12 million views but it was quick to anger Glynne.

She posted on Instagram saying: “This post honestly makes me sick.

“My music is abo”ut love, unity, and spreading positivity - never about division or hate.”

The voice of the Jet2 trend, Zoe Lister, also reacted to the post.

She said: “What can be done about @whitehouse using @jet2pics sound and my voiceover to promote their nasty agenda?”

PresidentTrump vowed to crack down on illegal immigration when he was running for office last year.

Within days of returning to the Oval Office he promised to remove millions of immigrants without legal status as part of a mass deportation policy.

The 47th president said he would catch that shouldn’t be in theUnited States.

He appointed new ICE agents responsible for finding people across the US and ensuring they were detained and made to leave.

ICE are currently aiming to reach 3,000 immigrant arrests per day.

The US plans on housing these migrants and criminals in a nestled in the Florida Everglades.
