As the verdicts were read out, Taylor jumped for joy, Serrano covered her face and YouTuber-turned boxer and promoter Paul shook his head.
Puerto Rico’s seven-division champion, 36, will feel hard done by walking away from the trilogy series empty handed.
But Taylor, 39, said: “I don’t think anybody could deny that I won tonight so it was very, very satisfying.
“The other previous fights some people had her winning, some people had me winning so there was always that debate and that’s why there was a trilogy at the end of the day.
“I was coming into this trilogy 2-0 against her but there was controversy in those decisions so I feel very satisfied that it was lights out and I feel like it was a very, very dominant performance.”;
Taylor admits she felt some nerves when the drawn scorecards was announced but knew the bout was hers when the other two were read out.
She said: “I was a bit concerned but after I heard the other scorecards I was hoping my hand would be raised and thank God it was!”;
Taylor â undisputed in TWO weights â was probed on retirement in the aftermath but no decision will be rushed.
She said: “I’m just going to enjoy this victory right now and sit back and reflect and then I’ll make a decision. But very, very happy with tonight’s performance.
“Just the amount of work we put in over these past few months, it was a gruelling few months of preparation and I’m so glad that I was able to showcase what I can do tonight.”;
