Poppy rose to fame by posting a compilation of her best cooking moments, which earned her an impressive 1 million followers and the title of the face of potato TikTok.
During her pregnancy, the TV chef humorously suggested a long list of baby names related to potatoes, including ‘Mashlynn’ and ‘Dauphinoise,’ but she has yet to disclose her little girl's name.
She shared a series of images of her gently cradling her newborn daughter in her living room, sitting in front of a Christmas tree.
Poppy wrote: “The baby potato arrived last week, and she is doing wonderfully. Thank you for all the love and messages.”
The food presenter received a flood of congratulations from fans and celebrities.
One fan commented: “Congratulations!! All hail the potato princess!!”
Another added: “Congratulations! What a very sweet potato.”
Earlier this year, Poppy married her husband Tom in a beautiful ceremony and became pregnant soon after.
The star, a regular guest on ITV’s daytime talk show, revealed that she was taking some time off to give birth, stating she was “logging off.”
In a comment beneath one of her Instagram posts addressing online critics who mocked her appearance after she appeared on the show, she wrote: “I know I’m taking a break from social media to have the baby, but I didn’t want to miss out on my favorite hobby of fighting trolls, did I xxx.”
The new mom previously shared that during her pregnancy, she faced cruel fat-shaming from viewers.
One troll harshly suggested that she go on a diet, despite being seven months pregnant at the time.
Poppy took to social media to discuss the harsh comments she received.
The TV chef wrote: “I’m enjoying posting more on social media, but oh my days, the comments are unbelievable.”
“I don’t know if it’s because it’s the only channel with a majority male audience, but seriously, guys, go outside and touch some grass Xx.”
The photo displayed a screenshot of the cruel fat-shaming comment Poppy received.
“Poppy needs keto for a while, I think,” one user, who had no profile picture, commented beneath her YouTube video.
Poppy replied: “Why??”
The anonymous user retorted: “You know why!”
Poppy shot back: “I’m 7 months pregnant in these videos, you absolute INCEL.”
