Is Mare of Easttown on Netflix?

Fans of crime thrillers should all be tuning in for Mare of Easttown on HBO right now. The series stars Kate Winslet, who plays a detective in a small town of Pennsylvania trying to figure out not one murder, but two. The show is created by Brad Ingelsby (The Way Back, Run All Night), and also stars American Horror Story‘s Evan Peters, The Office alum David Denman, Guy Pearce, and Jean Smart.

Mare of Easttown is worth watching for Winslet’s perfectly executed Delaware County accent alone, plus the story is also very gripping. At the time of this writing, there are three episodes out and another debuting this Sunday, May 9. So far, Winslet’s character Mare Sheehan is juggling her ex-husband moving on, rejoining the dating scene, and oh yeah, a new murder case. If you’re interested in checking out the show but want to know more, here’s the official synopsis:

As her life crumbles around her, a small-town Pennsylvania detective Mare Sheehan (Kate Winslet) investigates a local murder. The series explores the dark side of a close community and provides an authentic examination of how family and past tragedies can define our present.

Is Mare of Easttown streaming on Netflix?

As for us avid Netflix users, unfortunately, Mare of Easttown is not available on the streaming service. Maybe eventually it will be added, but as of now, it has an exclusive home. There are similar crime series on Netflix worth checking out, however, including Mindhunter, The Sinner, Ozark, and Unbelievable.

Where to watch Mare of Easttown

Because Mare of Easttown is an HBO Original and is still airing its first season, it can currently only be streamed on HBO, HBO Max, Hulu with the HBO add-on, and Amazon Prime Video with the HBO add-on.

Mare’s investigation is bound to only get more complicated as the story continues. Don’t wait to check this thrilling series out! You can watch the trailer below.
