Is Dad Stop Embarrassing Me season 2 happening?

Dad Stop Embarrassing premiered this month on Netflix along with the many other hilarious, feel-good family shows to be added on the streaming platform this year like Family Reunion season 3 and Country Comfort. 

The Netflix original series starring Jamie Foxx was amongst the top ten trending series on Netflix upon its debut and went on to be watched by millions of households in its first week. Though the viewership seemed to be performing relatively well, the series did not manage to impress critics with a score of 4.1 out of 10 from IMDb and an 18% from Rotten Tomatoes.

With such low ratings, the fate of this show sounds like it’s up in the air. We’re here to let you know if you can expect another season of Dad Stop Embarrassing Me. 

Is there going to be a Dad Stop Embarrassing Me season 2?

As the series premiered just last week on April 14, Netflix seems to not have had enough time to make a final verdict regarding the future of this show and it’s unclear where the streaming platform’s head is at.

On one hand, the series was pretty well enjoyed by families nationwide with some reviewers agreeing that Dad Stop Embarrassing Me is a nice watch, but on the other hand, we know that critic scores are pretty important, and with a not-so-good score of 18%, that could make or break the series.

According to What’s On Netflix, a second season renewal doesn’t seem too unlikely, but we’ll hold on to that thought until more information is released about season two.
