
AN IRAQI was allowed to stay in the UK despite being wanted by Germany for suspected drug- dealing — and having asylum claims rejected by two countries.
Ardi Hussein Saleh Rahim, 30, arrived in a lorry in November 2019.
At the time he was wanted by a court in Regensburg for five drug-supply offences.
took Rahim to a detention centre and he was housed in before being transferred to at a cost of thousands.
In 2023 jobless Rahim’s claim was rejected.
But he was granted an appeal and leave to remain while his case is processed — meaning he has now lived here for almost six years.
He gets an — thought to be over £4,300 a year — to care for his wife.
He told us: “I’ve done nothing. I’ve life here.”
He was finally arrested at his Oldham home in November, and is awaiting extradition.
