IRANIAN state TV has revealed what it says are the details of a draft peace deal that would see the Strait of Hormuz open within the month.

US forces would lift their naval blockade and pull out of the region if the deal is signed, according to the Iranians.

In the draft, Iran commits to restoring the numbers of commercial ships crossing the Strait of Hormuz within a month.

Warships would still be blocked from crossing the waterway.

State media called the draft agreement an “initial unofficial framework for a memorandum of understanding”.
