Foreign ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei said his nation is counting down the minutes to “welcome” US forces in a ground offensive.
He added that America would face “consequences of any adventure” if it tries to seize Kharg Island.
The US targeted the partially built Darkhovin plant in the south west of the country in its latest attacks.
It was still under construction, meaning there was no risk of a radiation leak.
United States Central Command said it targeted military command centres, air defence sites and missile and drone launch sites.
