Former Minister of Sports and Youths Development, Solomon Dalung, says unlike President Bola Tinubu, late Muhammadu Buhari restored government control in areas held by Boko Haram.

Dalung stated this on Friday on Arise Television.

He alleged that the Federal Government under Tinubu has failed Nigerians.

“Despite criticism, Buhari restored government control in Boko Haram-held areas, unlike Tinubu. President Tinubu cannot be compared with late President Buhari.

“While both leaders raised the expectations of Nigerians, Buhari recorded notable achievements, particularly in security.

“When he took office, about 24 local government areas in the North-East were reportedly under Boko Haram control, but those territories were reclaimed under his administration.

“Despite the security challenges that emerged later, that remains one of the key achievements often cited in defence of his legacy,” he said.
