The Vice-Presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the 2023 general elections, Datti Baba-Ahmed, has said that insecurity in Nigeria has been part of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.
Datti Baba-Ahmed made this allegation on Tuesday while responding to questions in an interview on Politics Today, a programme on Channels Television.
He said that the scourge of insecurity has been APC’s way of getting and staying in power.
His comment came in the wake of former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai’s allegation that the federal government was paying bandits.
“Insecurities are brought into Nigeria in the pre-2015 elections. These are even small ones. My argument is that insecurity is part of the APC. That is my candid and formed opinion.
“I have given you three solid statements about the fact that politicians and government functionaries are the problems of insecurity in Nigeria. These facts are undisputed,” he said.
