Gameweek 25 Injury and Suspension Update: The Latest on Marc Cucurella, Matty Cash, and More!

Liam Rosenior confirmed to reporters that Marc Cucurella suffered a hamstring injury against Leeds on February 10th.

Speaking about the Spanish defender, who features in 11.8% of teams at present, Chelsea’s head coach said: “I can’t give an exact time frame. It’s a real shame because he’s one of the best left-backs in the world. We have Jorrel [Hato] and Malo [Gusto] who can cover.”

Neither Reece James or Cole Palmer are thought to be 100% but both are are in line to feature against Burnley on Saturday having trained well this week.

Erling Haaland is fit and available to face Newcastle.

The 333-point striker is nursing a minor injury but Pep Guardiola nodded emphatically when asked if the Norwegian poacher was fit to play.

Savinho has recovered from a thigh issue but Jeremy Doku is not yet ready to return — Josko Gvardiol and Mateo Kovacic are long-term absentees.

Dominic Solanke was restricted to partial training due to throat problems but it’s unclear whether the issue will prevent his involvement in Sunday’s North London derby.

As for Arsenal, Mikel Arteta reported no new concerns after his side’s 2-2 draw at Wolves in midweek, suggesting Bukayo Saka and Leandro Trossard are fine.
