The family are currently holidaying in Bali, and in a now-deleted video, the social media star explained how she was heading for a massage at the resort’s wellness center nearby.

Her other half, Matthew Reid, was out with their four-year-old son Evi, while their younger son, Haze Hunter, who was born in October, was asleep in the family’s hotel room.

In the video, Taleigha told fans that she had left the baby on his own and locked in the family’s hotel room whilst she headed out.

Taking the baby monitor with her, she explained that the signal reached to the wellness center, meaning she could keep an eye on Haze.

However, the video stirred a wave of backlash as many fans asked why the influencer was leaving her little boy alone in a foreign country.

Some even likened the situation to Madeleine McCann’s 2007 disappearance, whilst her parents were dining at a nearby restaurant.

Talking about Taleigha’s video, one user shared to Reddit: “Usually love her content, but leaving her sleeping baby alone in their hotel in a third world country while she goes to get a foot massage?? That is insane”.

“I’m so glad I’m not the only one. We all know what happened to M McCann,” said a second, as the original user replied that this was their “first thought”.

A third said: “As a mum I’m absolutely outraged that another mum would leave a baby in a hotel room ALONE in a foreign country.

“For the sake of some time by herself relaxing?!? So dangerous. She needs to be held accountable!!”

Following the backlash, Taleigha promptly deleted the video before then issuing a public apology.

She wrote on her Instagram story: “I want to address what’s been circulating online.

“I made a poor decision, and I take full responsibility for it.

“Although I was only metres away from the locked resort room and had constant monitoring, I recognise that this did not make the situation safe.”

Taleigha added: “We do have a lovely nanny here in Bali who was unavailable that day.

“This is not a justification just context. I understand the seriousness of my actions, and I can confidently say this is the first and last time it will ever happen.”
