The All Democratic Alliance (ADA) has accused the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) of not registering the party despite fulfilling all registration requirements.

The main advocate for ADA, Umar Ardo, made this claim on Tuesday during an interview on Arise Television, which was monitored by DAILY POST.

“The All Democratic Alliance has submitted all necessary documents to INEC for registration.

“INEC has not registered any of the associations—none at all. Interestingly, nearly every Thursday when INEC convenes and makes a decision, they typically release a press statement to update Nigerians. However, in this instance, they remained silent and did not issue a press release.

“They did not post anything on their website, likely because they realize public opinion would be strongly against them. Why is that? Out of the 172 who submitted letters of intent, only 14 were shortlisted. They accepted the administrative fee of 2 million naira we paid, and we proceeded to their dedicated portal to apply.

“Of the 14, INEC pre-qualified eight and informed us that we were ready for the next stage, which is the final stage for physical verification.

“INEC conducted a verification of our office, which is as well-equipped as any other political party’s office in terms of infrastructure. By law, we should have representation in at least 24 states and the FCT, but we have representatives in all 36 states and the FCT.

“When acknowledging our application, INEC included a clause stating that if any additional information was needed, they would contact us, but they never did,” he stated.
