Indian Premier League match plunged into darkness as floodlights turned off and crowd evacuated over ‘security fears’

THE IPL clash between the Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals has been called off midway through the match.

The rivals collided at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamshala on Thursday night.

The Punjab Kings batted first and reached an impressive 122/1.

But the match was abandoned after the Kings reached that total due to “security fears.”;

The match was called to a halt as the floodlights were dimmed, which prompted players to be hauled off the pitch.

Spectators were left stunned by the cancellation of the match and started leaving the stadium in their droves.
