Kebbi releases over N1.1bn for gratuities, death benefits

The Kebbi State Government has released N1,138,177,993.11 for the immediate payment of gratuities and death benefits to civil servants and contract staff across the state.

The payment covers retired employees, deceased civil servants, local government workers and staff under the Local Government Education Authorities (LGEAs).

The announcement was made by Rashidu Muhammed Bala, a director in the Office of the Head of Civil Service, on behalf of the Head of Service, Malami Shekare.

According to Bala, a total of 459 beneficiaries will receive payments under the initiative approved by Governor Nasir Idris, as part of his administration’s commitment to the welfare of retirees and the families of deceased workers in the state.
