Former Chairman of Obio-Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State, Chijioke Ihunwo, says the State House of Assembly must resist manipulation by the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike.

Ihunwo stated this on Saturday while fielding questions in an interview on Arise Television monitored by DAILY POST.

He was reacting to the impeachment process initiated against Governor Siminalayi Fubara of the state.

“Members of the Rivers State House Assembly must resist manipulation by Wike

“Governor Sim Fubara was elected on the mandate of the Rivers people, not Nyesom Wike’s mandate.

“This assembly must remain independent to allow peace to prevail in the state. Governor Fubara has done nothing to warrant his removal.

“President Tinubu should intervene in this matter as the leader of the party,” he said.
