The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, has disclosed that he is using the budget of the FCT Administration to execute projects.

Wike said the Federal Government is yet to release the 2025 budget to the FCTA.

He disclosed this while fielding questions from journalists after inspecting the ongoing construction of the six lane road from Life Camp Junction to Ring Road 3, near Karmo in Abuja on Monday.

The road project is expected to be delivered in January, 2026.

He said: “We are implementing the budget particularly as it concerns the FCT, we have not gotten any funds from the national budget for this year, but we believe that before the end of the year, funds will be released.

“What we are using for now is the FCT budget which made adequate provision for this N5. The one of N2 which is linking Central Area to Wuse is going through emergency.”

The minister also addressed the issue of dormant bus terminals that were commissioned early this year.

“It’s not a question of being quiet but making sure that those who applied run it are executing the contract but the procurement is ongoing.

“We will like to see the number fleets that they have but we believe that before the end of the year, that would have been done,” he added.
