The General Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has acknowledged that he is not proud of his past.

The 83-year-old stated that his life serves as a testament to the transformative power of God.

Adeboye delivered this message on the fifth day of the Holy Ghost Congress 2025 at Redemption City, located along the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway in Ogun State, on Saturday.

He noted that many people would not have believed he could eventually become a pastor.

Adeboye remarked, “Do you believe there is anyone in your family who is beyond God's reach for salvation? Do you think there is someone that God cannot transform into a great vessel for honor?”

“I won’t take time to provide numerous examples, but the person speaking to you right now was someone many never thought could be saved.”

“Even if I were saved, they never believed I could become a pastor. You cannot judge by appearances; I’m not proud of my past. If one can be lost, I was truly lost.”
