The campmate was found with a small plastic sachet of the spread, and the developments will unfold in tonight’s episode.
This incident follows the revelation that former Lioness and Football Focus host, 41, was caught using salt to enhance her meals before her eviction on Friday night.
A source from the show commented: “It’s been a day filled with surprises as more contraband has been discovered, and the fallout from this rule violation has shaken the entire camp.”
Alex was filmed sprinkling her illicit salt into a camp dish of crocodile feet last week.
She had smuggled sachets onto the site but was caught on camera seasoning the meal, an act that resulted in producers taking away one star from rapper, 25, that he had earned in a challenge.
Alex had taken salt and pepper sachets from a service station before heading into a villa to film for the series premiere.
After leaving the Australian jungle, she told The Sun on Sunday: “I felt like such a mischievous schoolgirl, as if I should have been sent to detention. My best friend here, Regan… she insisted, ‘You need to bring salt and pepper – it would change the game’.
“On the day we arrived at the villa, we stopped at a service station, and they had all these little sachets of salt and pepper.
“I found myself staring at them for a long time, thinking, ‘Should I?’
“I decided to grab a few and see if I could sneak them into the camp – I tucked them into my sock on the arrival day and managed to smuggle them in.
“I was surprised myself. I didn’t get checked.”
Alex disclosed that several campmates were aware of her contraband, including ex-EastEnders actress, TV personality, YouTuber Angry Ginge, and Emmerdale actress Lisa Riley.
Alex stated: “Ginge noticed me one night and just kept giving me knowing looks.
“Shona was aware from the beginning.”
She mentioned that Lisa, 49, was astonished when Alex handed her a sachet she had emptied while cooking.
“Lisa was right beside me when I managed to open the salt sachet and pour it.
“I handed the wrapper to Lisa, but she didn’t realize what I was giving her.
“So she rushed off to the bathroom and exclaimed that she couldn’t believe she had the salt evidence.
“She was like, ‘This is unbelievable’.”
I’m A Celeb airs on ITV1 tonight at 9pm.
