Afrobeats artist Simisola Kosoko, widely known as Simi, has shared her pride in being Nigerian, emphasizing that her favorite aspect of the country is the resilience of its citizens, which she believes cannot be replicated by outsiders.

The Joromi hitmaker expressed her desire for Nigeria to be a better place, noting that if the country were functioning optimally, citizens would not be migrating in large numbers.

In a recent episode of the 90s Baby Show, Simi remarked, “What I love most about Nigeria is the spirit of Nigerians. It’s something that cannot be duplicated.”

“No one can truly be a Nigerian except for a Nigerian. Even when actors attempt to imitate African accents in Hollywood films, they never manage to mimic a Nigerian accent accurately.”
