I am still in PDP – Igbokwe reaffirms loyalty to party in Abia

Mayor Lucky Igbokwe, a key political figure in Abia State and member of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has reaffirmed his commitment to the party, dismissing recent speculation of a possible defection.

Igbokwe revealed this after hosting the National Chairman of the Labour Party, Julius Abure, and the former Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly, Chinedum Orji, who recently joined the All Progressives Congress, APC.

“I am still in PDP. If there are other intentions, I will make it public, but as of now, I am still consulting,” Igbokwe said

He, however, noted that he would soon disclose the reasons behind his engagements with leaders of other political parties.

The meetings have fueled widespread speculation about Igbokwe’s political intentions, with some viewing them as signs of a possible defection.

However, his reaffirmation of loyalty to the PDP has, for now, laid those speculations to rest.
