On May 26, Hwang Jung Eum’s agency Y1 Entertainment released the following statement:
Hello, this is Y1 Entertainment.
We would like to inform you that, as of May 26, 2025, Hwang Jung Eum’s divorce proceedings have been amicably concluded, with the court’s mediation decision finalized by the Family Court. The divorce is now officially finalized.
Additionally, regarding the provisional seizure of real estate reported on May 23, this was a standard procedure that occurred during the divorce process as both parties took measures to preserve their respective shares of jointly owned property. This is a procedure that can commonly occur during the course of divorce proceedings.Now that the divorce has been finalized, all provisional seizures will be lifted. We apologize for not being able to provide a detailed explanation earlier, as the matter was reported in the media just before the conclusion of the case.
