We can forgive her last run here eight days ago because everything went wrong – from losing a shoe on the way to the start to being forced out wide turning for home. She’s much better judged on her excellent win here two runs back when she won with lots left over this trip. A return to that form would make her hard to beat.
SILKIES SIB (8.30 Wolverhampton, nb)
Ended a run of placed efforts with a deserved victory at Chelmsford five days ago. He’s got winning form over this trip and track too so should be involved again.
PASSING PLEASURE (4.05 Newcastle, treble)
Can land the hat-trick after wins at Musselburgh and Catterick. He’s had a little break since the latest of those successes – his chase debut – and stepping up in distance can only bring improvement from this six-year-old.
WHISKEY ON ICE (3.35 Newcastle, Lucky 15)
Hit the crossbar when second at Musselburgh last time and sees out this testing trip strongly. His rider’s 10lb claim makes him hard to beat.
